Minutes of the Committee meeting held on 19th April 2017
at 6.00 pm in the Education Centre

Minutes and Actions of the Meeting of 15th March 2017
The minutes were sent prior to the meeting and were adopted by the committee with a few minor corrections.
The Curator reported that both the willow arch and log-walk have now been completed.
A set of wind chimes will be ordered and this will complete the current work on the Discover Play Project.
The scope of work looking at the current visitor profile and the impact that the proposed work to the reception and café areas together with wider development efforts at Dundee Waterfront would have on visitor numbers has been agreed. This will be completed within the next couple of months by the Moffat Centre.
The Friends will again fund the Hugh Ingram bursary.
The current status of our funds is healthy.
The handover to the new treasurer is almost complete
The Easter event (Eggventure) on the 9th April had gone well with positive feedback.
Work on preparing for the Summer Gathering on 12th August is on-going with musicians and catering having been agreed.
Preparations for a Mad Hatters tea party (30th July) are on-going.
Other events organised for the summer are included in the Spring Newsletter and on the Friends Website.
Work on the project to produce a ‘yearbook’ based on the Garden is progressing and the next meeting will be held on the 27th of April.
Architectural plans for an airport viewing building are being revised to better suit the proposed location and maximise the viewing potential.
Preparations for a children’s gardening group are continuing. Plots have been identified and members will be contacted about this before the summer.
A revised flyer advertising the Friends is being produced and should be available by the middle of May.

The next Committee meeting will take place at 6.30pm on Thursday 11th May 2017 in the Education Centre.
